Watch Adrian Amos Take His First Career Interception to the House

Chicago Bears Highlights

It finally happened for Chicago Bears safety Adrian Amos:

Amos had played more than 2,100 defensive snaps in his career before recording his first interception, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The Baltimore Ravens had snatched the momentum from the Bears and looked to be marching toward another score late in the fourth quarter. And then Joe Flacco (as expected) allowed the Bears to get their hands on another ball.

Credit Kyle Fuller for some superb coverage, which led to a deflected pass that fell right into Amos’ hands. After that, it was all about making the most of the opportunity. Amos stayed in-bounds after the pick, then motored downfield with an entourage of blockers – including defensive end Akiem Hicks.

And unlike Marcus Cooper, Amos completed the play by running through the end zone and completing the score.

Now, THAT is #elite defense.

After coming up with no interceptions in their first five games, the Bears picked off a pair of passes at a most opportune time.
