Friday’s Injury Report: No One Ruled Out, But the Four Who Didn’t Practice Are Doubtful

Chicago Bears News

While Chicago Bears Head Coach John Fox didn’t rule anyone out with the release of Friday’s injury report, four players are listed as doubtful and two others questionable ahead of Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

Wide receiver Markus Wheaton, defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris, linebacker John Timu, and cornerback/special teams stud Sherrick McManis did not practice on Friday and have been listed as doubtful. No one from this group has practiced this week, so this doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

Wheaton (nursing a groin injury that could keep him out 4-6 weeks)and Timu (recovering from a high ankle sprain that could put him on the shelf for four weeks) haven’t seen game action since the team’s Week 5 loss against the Minnesota Vikings. McManis injured his hamstring covering a kick in the team’s win against the Baltimore Ravens, but could be back when the Bears host the Green Bay Packers coming out of the bye. Robertson-Harris also suffered a hamstring injury while playing on special teams, where he has played 54.8 percent of his snaps this season.

Running back/kick returner Benny Cunningham was once again limited in practice, as was center Hroniss Grasu. Both of those players are listed as questionable.
