John Fox’s Last Stand Brings a Familiar Feeling and Other Bullets

Chicago Bears News, Chicago Bears Rumors, NFL News and Rumors

Based on John Fox’s recent job-security comments (I don’t give a rip, but actually I do…) and what we’ve seen on the field, Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times writes that we might be staring directly into the head coach’s last stand.

To be sure, Fox still has a year left on the four-year deal he signed back in 2015, but this is starting to feel a lot like Mike Glennon’s final days, isn’t it?

Trubisky’s training camp and preseason performances changed the perception (and plans) at Halas Hall in August. In late September, it was seen as “only a matter of time” before Glennon was replaced by Trubisky. And right before October rolled around, a former teammate saw the writing on the wall before everyone else did.

We all know what it looks like when it comes to an end. And while we’re not quite there yet, the feeling is all too familiar.
